Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

New groups forming...

As mindfulness practice becomes a growing influence in the world, we offer group support for making it a part of your daily life. In this group, we practice more than we lecture.  Learn how to make self-compassion, somatic awareness, grounding techniques, and wellbeing a real practice in your life. This course is anchored in the teachings of Jon Kabat-Zin and Thick Nhat Hanh.

Research about the effectiveness of MBSR is overwhelming. It is not a cure, but a way of coping that significantly reshapes our experience of stress, high blood pressure, depression, chronic pain, migraines, and other ailments. Participants often report feeling increased personal wellbeing and more balanced interactions with others.

For professional, family members, or dear friends the world of a caregiver can be a lonely and isolated place, driven by an outpouring of love, attention, and strength, with very limited reciprocation. This group can help support you. Within this collaborative interaction, group members increase awareness about self-compassion and learn mindfulness-based self-care strategies that reinforce your fortitude to provide loving care for another. Allow yourself a bit of care. Invest in growing your capacity for restorative practices that allow you to be the best caregiver you can be.
