Sandra Braun, MA
Marriage and Family Therapist
Registered Intern # 78487
Supervised by Tiffany Ann Dzioba, PsyD, LMFT #51595
I help people connect with and explore a deeper part of their Self. I help them build the skills needed to face daily and life-long stressors, and become more resilient when confronted with difficulties.
I have substantial training and practice helping individuals and loved ones suffering from the effects of substance abuse and behavioral addictions. My knowledge of recovery and the family system lends itself to an array of treatment modalities and support resources, including one-on-one and family therapy, and when needed, collaborating through intervention and facilitating a higher level of care.
I am also a trained EMDR practitioner--supporting people with overwhelming life experiences such as childhood trauma, divorce, relocation, illness, combat, car accidents, victimization, witness to violence or terrorism, and long-term grief. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment that can help you relieve distress, reformulate negative beliefs, reduce physical discomfort, and support change in unproductive behaviors associated with negative feelings and thoughts.
Therapy, especially EMDR, seems like a luxury for so many people. I offer low fee, sliding scale (based on income) psychotherapy, EMDR, and addiction counseling for individuals, couples, and families. My integrated approach to therapy is informed by CBT, DBT, Mindfulness Practice, Harm-Reduction, Attachment and Trauma models.
Sandra holds a Master's Degree in clinical psychology and is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
