The Feeling Wheel

The Feeling Wheel was developed by Dr. Gloria Willcox to support our ability to talk about emotion. This tool is widely used by hundreds of therapists today because it supports the exploration of feelings, layer by layer.



Abby Vanmuijen used their exposure to City & Regional Planning/Urban Design to help people tell better stories with images. As a person who deeply understands the power of expression, Abby created this version of the Feeling Wheel to support somatic understanding of the fluid and overlapping ways feelings most often express themselves.


When we use the Feeling Wheel alongside TICES we develop an accurate understanding of our body's emotional communication.
