Legal name: Eka Sabrina Childs

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #111539

Supervised by Tiffany Ann Dzioba, PsyD, LMFT #51595

As a Trauma-Informed therapist, I believe Transitional Age Folx deserve support. I support clients who are dealing with past trauma or other disheartening experiences and want to rebuild confidence. I always start from a brave look at their unique strengths to develop and implement coping strategies that actually work. My role during the therapeutic process is to be a non-directive affirming cheer-leader, with valuable awareness of our innate ability to thrive.

I show up for all sessions non-judgmental, empathic, and genuine and I welcome first-time therapy seekers! I have experience supporting adults, youth, and families from marginalized and institutional backgrounds.

As a mental health professional, I advocate to break the stigma and bring awareness to emotional wellbeing & mental illness/instabilities, particularly within communities of color. I am committed to aiding my clients in healing past generational, systemic, and communal disparities to uplift skills that promote safe and healthy approaches for growing-potential and I am honored to work at an agency that shares this mission.

Eka holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The services provided by Eka are supervised by Our Clinical Team

We are a nonprofit community counseling agency, committed to expanding access to supportive services. With compassion, collaboration, and respect we provide affordable mental health care including programs that strengthen adults, youth, families, and communities.

We believe mental health care is a right, not a privilege. By providing affordable mental health services and effective community programs we increase access and utilization of supportive services that contribute to improved adult, youth, and family functioning. We are certain this will lead to fortified communities in Los Angeles.

We are sincerely grateful to Our Board Members for their support and invaluable guidance.
