Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee

I help people untangle what feels overwhelming. I guide self reflection so that clarity can be elevated, so that resilience can be confident, so that compassion can be trusted, and so stronger relationships with others can create a life that truly matters. I offer a supportive space where we’ll work collaboratively, set clear goals, and move at a pace that feels both manageable and meaningful.

We all deserve a calm, structured space to get to know ourselves better, grow insight, and enhance grounded perspectives. When we make sense of our experiences, we reconnect with our strengths, and move forward with greater confidence.

Somatic Therapy offers a mindful space to better understand ourself, discover adaptive solutions to challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. I chose to join growURpotential because values matter, and being part of a team that prioritizes compassion, integrity, and real human connection matters to me. My personal mission for expanding access to culturally responsive care aligns with this meaningful work.

Shandy is currently enrolled in a Master's Degree Program for Clinical Psychology to become Marriage & Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The services provided by Shandy are supervised by Our Clinical Team. Our Clinical Team

We are a nonprofit community counseling agency, committed to expanding access to supportive services. With compassion, collaboration, and respect we provide affordable mental health care including programs that strengthen adults, youth, families, and communities.

We believe mental health care is a right, not a privilege. By providing affordable mental health services and effective community programs we increase access and utilization of supportive services that contribute to improved adult, youth, and family functioning. We are certain this will lead to fortified communities in Los Angeles.

We are sincerely grateful to Our Board Members for their support and invaluable guidance.
