Kaylyn Wright, Artist, Yoga Teacher & Mentor

Mentor at growURpotential.org since 2025

Wellness Facilitator

Kaylyn Wright is an artist, wellness facilitator, and yoga teacher whose journey with music and mindfulness began after the passing of his grandmother in 2017. What started as a grieving process became a return to himself.

Kaylyn is a vibrant learner, his understanding of mental health rooted in academia, then he deepened his awareness of health inequalities within the wellness community, across the globe. Kaylyn's lived experiences keep him excited about the future and make him an exceptional motivational care partner. Whether recording his first freestyle at five or flowing through sun salutations on a quiet morning, Kaylyn sees creativity as a healing force we all have access to. In 2025, Kaylyn completed Yoga Teacher Training with Black Boys Om School of Yoga, and also invested in Tools for Somatic & Emotional Regulation at growURpotential.

Today Kaylyn is exploring ways to combine his passion for music and yoga as an offering to his community. When he's not on the mat or on the mic, he serves youth as a facilitator and program coordinator for the Smiling Boys Project and Earth Lodge Center for Transformation. We encourage you to access care with Kaylyn outside our network, awards inside our network are limited, and Kaylyn is happy to share direct options that exist within peer organizations!

We are a nonprofit community counseling agency, committed to expanding access to supportive services. With compassion, collaboration, and respect we provide affordable mental health care including programs that strengthen adults, youth, families, and communities.

We believe mental health care is a right, not a privilege. By providing affordable mental health services and effective community programs we increase access and utilization of supportive services that contribute to improved adult, youth, and family functioning. We are certain this will lead to fortified communities in Los Angeles.

We are sincerely grateful to Our Board Members for their support and invaluable guidance.
