Sara Hefty

Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee

Supervised by Tiffany Naumann, Psy.D # 51595

I believe every person deserves to be truly seen, heard, and understood. Each of us carries a story shaped by family, culture, and life experience — and within those stories are patterns, strengths, and deep potential for healing. I believe we all have the capacity to grow into healthier, more fulfilled versions of ourselves when we have the support and space to reflect honestly and safely.

Therapy offers that space. It’s a place to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with your sense of purpose and possibility. In our sessions, I bring warmth, humor, and genuine curiosity. I’ll meet you where you are, holding space for both your pain and your potential. Together, we’ll explore what feels heavy, uncover the patterns that keep you stuck, and begin building a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and aligned with your values.

My approach is collaborative and grounded in compassion. I believe growth happens through relationship, presence, and a sense of trust that builds over time. I chose to practice at growURpotential because I deeply value its mission to provide culturally competent, restorative mental health care. I especially enjoy working with people who’ve survived complex or confusing experiences and are ready to rediscover themselves, embrace creativity, and find peace in the present moment. If this resonates with you, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey of healing and transformation.

Sara is currently enrolled in a Master's Degree Program for Clinical Psychology to become Marriage & Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The services provided by Sara are supervised by Our Clinical Team.

We are a nonprofit community counseling agency, committed to expanding access to supportive services. With compassion, collaboration, and respect we provide affordable mental health care including programs that strengthen adults, youth, families, and communities.

We believe mental health care is a right, not a privilege. By providing affordable mental health services and effective community programs we increase access and utilization of supportive services that contribute to improved adult, youth, and family functioning. We are certain this will lead to fortified communities in Los Angeles.

We are sincerely grateful to Our Board Members for their support and invaluable guidance.
