Roshni Kavate
Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee
Supervised by Tiffany Naumann, Psy.D # 51595
I understand how family patterns and cultural expectations can create inner contradictions that shape how we love, communicate, and make choices. I believe we all deserve support choosing our own authentic path and believe therapy offers a compassionate space to explore our inner world, make sense of our experiences, and strengthen our capacity to meet life’s challenges with clarity and self-trust.
I help clients navigate the space between what their family or culture expects and what they genuinely want. Together, we untangle the difference between desire and duty, rewrite inherited stories, and build practices that make change feel possible and sustainable. My work is grounded in curiosity, empathy, and respect for the body’s wisdom.
I draw from Internal Family Systems, somatic therapy, and Brainspotting to support individuals, couples, and families experiencing grief, loss, life transitions, financial trauma, or cross-cultural and intergenerational dynamics. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and non-traditional relationship folx ready to create something new and life-affirming.
With twelve years of experience in palliative care, birth work, and postpartum support, I’ve learned that transformation often emerges through our most vulnerable moments. I also bring my background as an artist, which helps me guide clients to reimagine their stories, honor both endings and beginnings, and trust what the body knows beyond words. I chose to practice at growURpotential because it is a community that centers care, justice, and authentic connection.
