I believe everyone deserves support processing heavy emotions, as they are generally connected to traumatic memories. Deeper understanding of our body’s trauma processes always helps, and I support anxiety, depression, relationship issues in collaboration so accurate understanding grows confidence.
Processing emotions heals trauma, and once emotional distress is resolved we can build new pathways for growth. I use these convictions to actively listen and collaboratively explore thoughts while disrupting habits like looping thoughts. This approach also helps self expression be more confident.
Healing is a journey, and we all deserve a guide. I support individuals, families, and youth using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Solution Focused, Therapy, Family Systems and Mindfulness techniques. I am honored to be a part of growURpotential’s mission to liberate hearts so clients reach their highest potential and desired outcomes.
Deirdra holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The services provided by Deirdra are supervised by Our Clinical Team.
We are a nonprofit community counseling agency, committed to expanding access to supportive services. With compassion, collaboration, and respect we provide affordable mental health care including programs that strengthen adults, youth, families, and communities.
We believe mental health care is a right, not a privilege. By providing affordable mental health services and effective community programs we increase access and utilization of supportive services that contribute to improved adult, youth, and family functioning. We are certain this will lead to fortified communities in Los Angeles.
